Three Dead, 25 Wounded in Weekend Gun Violence

CHICAGO — Three people were killed and at least 25 wounded in weekend shootings.

On Sunday morning, 41-year-old William Bailey was shot to death in Brainerd about 11:35 a.m. Four hours earlier, 29-year-old Jabari Davis was killed in his Chatham home. And an hour before that, Terrance McNeal, 23, was shot to death during a fight in Austin.

From Saturday night to Sunday, 13 people were wounded in shootings, including four self-admitted gang members shot in a River North drive-by.

From Friday night to Saturday, 11 people were shot and wounded. And a Little Village shooting injured a man Friday afternoon.

In all, 25 people were wounded in shootings from Friday afternoon to Sunday night.

Early Monday, a 33-year-old man was shot in both feet in Riverdale, police said. The man was standing near 132nd Street and Forrestville Avenue when someone inside a passing green car fired shots about 12:15 a.m. The victim was taken to Roseland Community Hospital in good condition.

No one was in custody for any of the shootings.
