Fight Leads to Fatal Shooting in Austin

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was shot to death during a fight in Austin early Sunday.

The victim was arguing with another man on the sidewalk in the 400 block of North Leclaire Avenue when the man pulled a gun and opened fire about 3:15 a.m., police said.

The victim, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Terrance McNeal, of the 400 block of North Leamington Avenue, was shot multiple times in his abdomen and arm. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead early Sunday.

No one was in custody.
