CHICAGO — Two shootings on the South and West sides wounded three teenagers Tuesday night and Wednesday.

The most recent incident happened about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday in North Lawndale. Two teenagers were sitting in a van in the 1500 block of South Trumbull Avenue when they "heard shots and felt pain," said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

An 18-year-old man was shot in his arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized. A 19-year-old man was grazed in his ankle and refused medical treatment.

Earlier in the evening, a 16-year-old boy was shot in his hand in South Shore, Greer said. The boy was walking in the 6700 block of South Paxton Avenue when a light-colored car approached about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A gunman exited the car and opened fire, striking the victim. He was taken to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center in good condition.

No one was in custody for either shooting.
