WICKER PARK — Service between the Blue Line's Damen and Western stations will be suspended this weekend as crews continue work on the tracks, CTA officials announced.

Train service will stop at 10 p.m. Friday, April 25, and resume at 4 a.m. Monday, April, 28. Free shuttle buses between stations will be provided for riders while crews work on the tracks.

The work to improve the tracks on the Blue Line's O'Hare branch is part of the $492 million "Your New Blue" project.

Some streets surrounding the affected stations will also be closed over the weekend due to the project. A portion of the 1700 block of South Leavitt Street will also close Thursday through Monday, CTA officials said.

Riders are encouraged to allow 15 minutes of extra time if they are planning on traveling through the affected stations.
