Man Who Crashed into Police Car Charged with DUI

CHICAGO — A West Side man was hit with several charges after he crashed Wednesday into a police car, injuring two officers.

Police said Willie Mance, 28, was drunk when he fled a domestic disturbance and struck a police car in the 3200 block of West Fulton Boulevard in East Garfield Park sending two officers to an area hospital around 2:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Mance, of the 4100 block of West Arthington Street, was charged with three felony counts of resisting arrest, driving under the influence of alcohol, criminal trespassing, driving on a revoked license, fleeing police, possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle without a license, police said.

He was expected in bond court Thursday.
