CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was killed Thursday evening in a drive-by shooting in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, authorities said.
The man was shot in the 900 block of West 83rd Street about 6:25 p.m., said Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.
Several men inside a van opened fire on the 23-year-old. He was shot in his body and died on the scene, police said.
As of 8 p.m., officials at the Cook County Medical Examiner's office had been notified of the death but the man's name was not yet available.
