Things to Do in Lincoln Park and Old Town Thursday

Tokyo Police Club at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 7 p.m.

The Canadian indie-pop band has played shows at Lollapalooza, Coachella and Bonaroo, and opened for Weezer in 2008. Also performing are Geographer and Save the Whale. Tickets for the all-ages show are $20.

Dr. Peter J. Whitehouse at the DePaul Art Museum, 935 W. Fullerton Ave., at 7 p.m.

Lincoln Park Village hosts "A Revelatory View of Brain Health: Guiding Our Lives Down a Journey of Purpose" by Peter J. Whitehouse, M.D., Ph.D. a recognized expert in achieving optimal brain functions. Tickets are $10 in advance, $5 for students, or $15 at the door.

Helping Phriendly Orchestra at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted St, 8 p.m.

Revisit Phish shows in their entirety with this Phish cover band. The 21-and-over event is $10 to attend.

The Neon Party at Joe's on Weed Street, 940 W. Weed St., 8 p.m.

Chicago '80s band 16 Candles hosts the "neon rave" party for a good cause. All proceeds from the event go to AdoptTogether, a charity that uses crowd-funding to help national and international adoption. Tickets for the event are $20 for general admission and $32 for VIP. VIP tickets include a wristband with exclusive bar access and a special edition T-shirt.

High School Sports

Lincoln Park Lions

Softball vs Von Steuben Panthers at Oz Park, 2021 N. Burling St., 4 p.m. In their last game, the Lions lost 15-13 to the Lane Tech Indians.

Latin School Romans

Baseball (1-1) vs. University High School Maroons (5-0) at the Kroc Center, 1250 W. 119th St., 6:15 p.m.

The Romans haven't played since April 9. In their last game, they lost 9-4 to the St. Ignatius Wolfpack.

Tennis vs. New Trier High School Trevians at A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center, 530 Hibbard Road, Winnetka, 5 p.m.

Men's Volleyball (2-3) vs Lake Forest Academy Caxys (4-1) at Latin School, 59 W. North Blvd., 6 p.m.

The Romans lost their last match to St. Patrick High School in two sets (25-21, 25-14) on Monday at home. They can return to the .500 mark with a win Thursday vs the Caxys.
