CHICAGO — As summer draws closer, two women-owned Bucktown businesses are inviting cycling beginners and pros to learn a bit about bike safety, get their bikes tuned up and take their pick from some cycling-friendly fashion accessories.

Personal training company Comfy Fitness will host the event, dubbed "I Like Bike," at the center, 2115 N. Damen Ave., on May 4 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Comfy Fitness will teach proper biking form for safe riding while BFF Bikes, Bucktown's new women-focused cycling shop, plans to give free bike checks and touch-ups, according to event organizers at Comfy Fitness.

Locally made Pocket Poppet cardigans, sweaters that fold into water-repellent pouches, will be on sale along with jewelry made from bicycle parts designed by Redbud Jewelry.

Drinks from Revolution Brewery will be available along with complimentary chair massages and possibly a few raffle prizes, according to Comfy Fitness.
