CHICAGO — A 50-year-old woman was injured in a hit-and-run accident Saturday night, and charges are pending against the driver, police said.
The woman was struck by a vehicle about 7 p.m. in the 5800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue. The driver then fled the scene, police said.
She was taken in serious condition to Lutheran General Hospital, said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.
Charges are pending against the driver, but police had no more information to share.
