MTV's 'The Real World' Searching for Roommates

CHICAGO — Looking to be the next reality star on the MTV hit "The Real World"? This weekend may be your big break.

Bunim and Murray Productions has announced the iconic MTV show will be casting for new roommates Saturday at McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon, at 1206 N. State Pkwy. The open casting call will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m Saturday.

Applicants must be 20 to 24 years old, and they should bring a valid ID and a recent photo. Applicants should also be prepared to interview with casting directors.

"The Real World," which first aired in 1992, puts strangers in an apartment or house and chronicles the lives of single people. The current season is set in San Francisco.

The 11th season of "The Real World," in 2002, was set in Chicago with seven people sharing a converted bookstore in Wicker Park at 1934 W. North Ave.
