
CHICAGO — An Austin man died after being stabbed in what might have been a home invasion Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Paul Carter, 32, was stabbed in his home in the 5000 block of West Gladys Avenue, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police responded to the attack about 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
Sullivan said the man was stabbed in a "possible home invasion" and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition. He was pronounced dead at 4:18 p.m., according to the morgue.
An autopsy has not been completed.
