CHICAGO — A 35-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night at a party in West Englewood.

Police said a fight broke out at the party, held in the 2000 block of West 67th Street, around 11:20 p.m..

After the altercation, someone shot the 35-year-old man in the back of the head, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

"It's unclear if one man or several men returned and fired into the home," Alfaro said.

The man, identified as Michael Stewart of Gary, Ind., was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:35 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

No one is in custody for the shooting. Area South detectives are investigating.
