ANDERSONVILLE — The Vitamin Outlet & Health Food store in Andersonville is closed.
The shop at 5158 N. Clark St., which sold vitamins, dietary supplements, herbs, health foods and cosmetics, held a closing sale last month offering 50 percent off all merchandise before shuttering Friday.
The store sits across the street, just south of the recently shuttered Icosium Cafe, on the southwest corner of Clark and Foster. While the fate of the former Vitamin Outlet & Health Food space is unclear, Middle Eastern Bakery & Grocery just west of Icosium plans to take over the former Icosium space in the spring.
The owner of Vitamin Outlet & Health Food store was not reachable for comment.
