CHICAGO — A Roseland man was found fatally shot at his home Friday, and his death is being called a homicide.
Cleotha Brooks, 53, of the 0-100 block of East 104th Place, was found shot shortly after 1 p.m. Friday. He was declared dead at the scene, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
Police responded to the scene and found Brooks unresponsive with head trauma, said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.
On Saturday, an autopsy determined Brooks died of a gunshot wound to the face. The Medical Examiner's Office declared his death a homicide.
Police said an investigation is ongoing.
