LOGAN SQUARE —  If you're looking for an excuse to don your best duds, the Logan Theatre is hosting an Oscars gala that is sure to bring out the most dapper and dazzling movie fans around.

The people who brought the dress-up Mad Men premiere party to Logan Theatre last April are now throwing this Sunday's Golden Gala featuring a best-dressed contest, special movie-inspired cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and of course the Academy Awards.

As guests arrive, dressed, of course, to the nines, the will get the chance to have their “red carpet” photo taken as soon as they enter the lobby.

“Dressing up, whatever that means to you — it could be really formal, that could be really creative, we just want people to have fun,” said event organizer Kristen Kaza.

Attendees can then make their way to the lounge for drinks and snacks from Parson's Chicken & Fish and then into the largest theater — which seats 180 — where there will be movie trivia, and like at the "Mad Men" event, awards will be given for the most "dapper" and "dazzling" outfits.

A bar will also be set up in the back of the theater itself, and cocktail service will be provided throughout the show. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased ahead of time.

"We highly encourage people to buy their tickets in advance because the chance of tickets at the door is slim," Kaza warned.

And for all those "Mad Men" fans, Kaza said they will indeed be throwing another premiere party when the show returns back April 13.

So start hitting up those thrift shops, people — 1969 is just around the corner.
