LAKEVIEW — BYOB painting studio Bottle and Bottega is celebrating its third anniversary in its flagship Lakeview studio with free wine, food and painting next week.

The business, where people learn to paint in a party-like setting, started in Chicago and now has a dozen franchises across the country

Bottle and Bottega's Lakeview studio, 2900 N. Lincoln Ave., opened in March 2011, several years after founders Stephanie King-Myers and Nancy Bigley started the company by hosting art parties at bars and restaurants.

They also have another Chicago location in the South Loop at 1241 S. Michigan Ave.

On March 10, the Lakeview studio will host a free party from 6-9 p.m. People interested in attending must register on the website, according to Rosie Gillam, spokeswoman for the business.

Attendees can take home a 6-foot-by-6-foot canvas and help paint a mural in the studio.

"The complimentary evening is intended to serve as a 'thank you' to the studios' loyal following and signify many more years of painting bliss," Gillam said.
