Man Jumps To His Death Inside Water Tower Place, Authorities Say

CHICAGO — A Massachusetts man committed suicide Monday evening by jumping from the seventh floor inside the Water Tower Place building, authorities said.

The man, 27, jumped from the seventh floor of the building in the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue about 9 p.m., police said.

The man, who is from Massachusetts, was pronounced dead on the scene about the same time, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
