LAKEVIEW — A modern, eight-story building soon may replace a vintage building near the Sheridan Red Line "L" stop.
Loukas Development is proposing the building with retail, 60 housing units and 24 parking spaces for 3936 N. Sheridan Rd., according to the website of 46th Ward Ald. James Cappleman.
It would replace a three-story vintage apartment building that also houses popular Thai restaurant Tac Quick.
Developers are asking for a zoning change and will be present their proposal to the ward's zoning and development comittee Monday at 7 p.m. in the Weiss Hospital Auditorium, 4646 N. Marine Drive, according to Uptown Update.
Its zoning application also notes a request for two curb cuts.
