CHICAGO — At least three men were wounded in two separate Austin shootings Wednesday night and Thursday.

Shortly after 1 a.m., a 30-year-old man walked into West Suburban Hospital with gunshot wounds in his right hand, upper right thigh and buttocks, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

The man told police he was walking on the sidewalk in the 5900 block of West Division Street when he "heard shots and felt pain."

Earlier in the evening, two men were shot in the 1000 block of North Massasoit Avenue, Alfaro said. The victims were standing on the corner about 8:20 p.m. when a gunman walked up and opened fire.

A 19-year-old man was shot in his left leg and treated at Loyola University Medical Center, while a 23-year-old man shot multiple times in his body took himself to West Suburban Medical Center. He was later transported to Stroger Hospital.

Both men were in "stable condition," Alfaro said.

No one was in custody for either shooting.
