CHICAGO — A 50-year-old man was shot in Austin Tuesday morning.
The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue about 5 a.m. when he heard shots and then felt pain, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
He suffered a bullet wound in his upper right leg and went to Stroger Hospital, Estrada said. His condition was not immediately available.
No one was in custody for the shooting.
