CHICAGO — Take a healthy cooking class or check out some discounted theater, comedy or a rock documentary screening in the neighborhood on Wednesday.

Chicago Theatre Week: "Old Jews Telling Jokes" at Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted St., shows at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

During the special discount week, see "Old Jews Telling Jokes," inspired by the website of the same name, for $30 (regular-priced tickets are about $49 minus fees).

Get Your Greens at Whole Foods, 1550 N. Kingsbury St., 7-8 p.m.

A Whole Foods healthy eating specialist plans to incorporate veggies such as kale, collards and chard in various recipes that students can take home. The class is $10, and spots may be reserved online.

"Bittersweet Motel" and "Electric Apricot" at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 7 p.m.

The venue screens the 2000 Phish documentary "Bittersweet Motel" along with 2006 rock mockumentary "Electric Apricot." Tickets are $5 for those 18 and older.

Local comedian Kevin Bozeman performs at Zanies this week. Tickets are $25, plus two minimum orders of food or drinks.
