Celeste Contemporary American Restaurant Opens at 111 W. Hubbard St.

RIVER NORTH — Celeste, a contemporary American restaurant that is open until the wee hours each night, opens Monday in River North.

Located in the 111 W. Hubbard St. building that was built in 1888 to house a glass factory, the new restaurant was dreamed up by brothers Nader, Fadi and Rafid Hindo.

Celeste will be open from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday and until 5 a.m. on weekends.

The restaurateurs kept the structure's exposed brick and dark wood detailing, adding Art Deco touches like marble accents and gold leaf ceilings.

The eatery's lower level is centered on a wraparound bar with a dining room on the second floor inspired by supper clubs, according to a news release.

The seafood-heavy menu includes small plates priced from $10-$20 and entrees priced in the $20-30 range.
