CHICAGO — Police said a man was robbed and sexually assaulted at knifepoint near the North/Clybourn Red Line station in the Lincoln Park area early Tuesday morning.

A 24-year-old man told police he was sitting on a bench at the station in the 1500 block of North Clybourn Avenue about 1 a.m. when a man with a knife forced him to go to an ATM and withdraw money, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

The victim said his attacker, a man in his 30s, then forced him into an alley and sexually assaulted him, according to Sullivan.

He went home and called police, Sullivan said.

No one was in custody, and a more detailed description of the suspect was not available.
