CHICAGO — Ideas for how to spend a Monday night in the neighborhood include a wine-filled cooking class, a year-in-review performance and stand-up comedy from Nick Vatterott.
Cooking with Wines of France at Whole Foods, 1550 N. Kingsbury St., 7-8 p.m.
The class includes an introductory lesson on how to cook with French wines as well as a wine tasting paired with food. The class is $25.
Year in Review at Park West, 322 W. Armitage Ave., 8 p.m.
Six WBEZ reporters along with six local poets, comedians and storytellers present a review of 2013's notable Chicago events. The show is hosted by Scott Whitehair and DJ'd by Ayana Contreras. Storytellers include Odette Yousef and Alex Keefe. General admission is $25, member tickets are $18 and the show is $10 for students.
