COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — As Qaw'mane Wilson stood before a judge Monday for the second time since his arrest for allegedly ordering a hit on his mother Yolanda Holmes — a relative briefly entered the courtroom and screamed: "You're going to hell, Qaw'mane!"

A court officer swiftly booted the woman from the building. But a spokeswoman for Wilson's family later told DNAinfo Chicago the woman was a cousin of Wilson, a local actor and rapper known as "Young QC." The cousin declined to comment.

Wilson, who has been charged but not formally indicted in the murder of his mother, made a brief appearance in court Monday before Judge Israel Desierto. He did not speak at the hearing, but glanced back at the woman who screamed at him before she was removed from the room. His next court date was scheduled for Friday.

The 24-year-old man faces accusations that he orchestrated the murder of his mother and then liquidated her bank accounts and cashed in her life insurance policies. Pictures and videos of Wilson on social media since Holmes was murdered in 2012 show him throwing money around and flaunting luxury cars, expensive puppies and designer clothes.

He appeared in court Monday, wearing a jailhouse jumpsuit, along with his two alleged accomplices, 22-year-old Eugene Spencer and 23-year-old Loriana Johnson. All are being held without bail on murder and home invasion charges at Cook County Jail.

Wilson admitted to detectives that he arranged the robbery that led to his mother's death on Sept. 2, 2012 for "financial gain" — but Spencer told detectives Wilson asked him to kill Holmes, court documents allege.

Johnson admitted to driving Spencer to Holmes' house in the 1000 block of West Montrose Ave. to commit a robbery, prosecutors said.

Johnson's grandmother, Sadie Johnson, said outside the courtroom Monday that Johnson "didn't know what was happening" on the day she is accused of driving Spencer to Holmes' apartment.

"They tied her up in the plot," the 76-year-old woman charged of Wilson and Spencer. "She didn't know what she was getting into."

Johnson is seeking to be tried separately from Spencer and Wilson and wants a different lawyer than the pair, according to her family. Johnson's family members said that she has been dating Wilson for "at least a year or more."

Also outside the courtroom, a woman who attended the hearing and said she had been romantically involved with Wilson since August described him as "nice, funny and fun," and said she is "confused," by the charges against him.

When she heard about the murder charges, she said, "I didn't think it was real."

"I thought it was made up," said the woman, who was there to show support for Wilson despite the allegations.

She said he rarely mentioned his mother, and that the only time Holmes came up was in the fall when Wilson asked to meet her mother and she demanded to meet his first.

That's when he told her Holmes had been killed in a robbery, she said.

She said she often caught him in deep contemplation. She told friends, "There's always something on his mind."

As to whether she believes the allegations against Wilson, she said: "I don't know what really happened."

Wilson's public defender did not immediately return calls for comment Monday afternoon.
