CHICAGO — Police said a 21-year-old man shot a food delivery driver Friday in an attempted robbery.
The man, Dominique K. Anderson of the 10800 block of South Hoxie Avenue, was arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery.
Police said Anderson confronted the delivery driver in the 2600 block of East 106th Street in South Deering at about 8:20 on Friday night. The victim, 52, was shot in the back during the attempted robbery, police said.
Anderson is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
