Three Beverly Businesses Robbed by Man in the Past Month, Police Say

CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station, a Starbucks and a CVS Pharmacy in Beverly in the past month.

Police said a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt, a ski mask and gloves entered the businesses with his hands in his pockets, implying that he had a gun, and demanded money from the cash register before fleeing.

The man robbed the Shell Gas Station at 9955 S. Western Ave. at 6:03 p.m. Dec. 8, the Starbucks at 1933 W. 103rd St. at 5:25 a.m. Dec. 16 and the CVS at 1930 W. 103rd St. at 7:05 a.m. Saturday, according to a community alert issued by police.

Police described the suspect as a black man, 6-foot tall and weighing 200 pounds.
