Food Delivery Drivers Robbed at Gunpoint on West Side, Police Say

CHICAGO — Restaurant delivery drivers were held up at gunpoint for food and cash in East Garfield Park twice in the last week, police said.

The most recent robbery occurred about 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of West Walnut Street in East Garfield Park. Another robbery occurred in the same block about 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 22, officials said.

The gunman is generally described as a black man between the ages of 20 to 25, standing between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-8 and weighing between 125 and 150 pounds, an alert said.
