LINCOLN PARK — Christmas is over, and New Year's isn't until next week — but don't let that leave your weekend plans out in the cold.

Lincoln Park and Old Town are packed with events this weekend to fill in the gap between holiday plans.

Friday

Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo, 2200 N. Cannon Drive, 5-9 p.m.

Christmas may be over, but there's still a few more days to catch the annual Zoo Lights wonder at Lincoln Park Zoo, open from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Saturday

"Mikado" at Steppenwolf Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St., performances at 4 and 8 p.m.

The Hypocrites' production of "Mikado" returns for another season. The performance, which is a take on the classic by Gilbert and Sullivan, includes operetta hits. Tickets range from $36-$50, and the show runs through Sunday.

Sunday

Sunday Night Wine & Cheese at Whole Foods' Da'Vine Wine Bar, 1550 N. Kingsbury St., 4 p.m.

Every Sunday, Whole Foods picks out five wines to pair with five cheeses for this tasting event, which costs $25.
