CHICAGO — At least two people were shot Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
• About 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, a 20-year-old man was shot in his shoulder at the Argyle Red Line station in Uptown, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.
The victim was standing at the station in the 1100 block of West Argyle Street when a man approached, yelled gang slogans and opened fire. The victim was listed in "stable condition" at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and police believe the shooting was gang-related.
• A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was shot in his head in Little Village about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Greer said. The boy was walking along the 2600 block of South Trumbull Avenue when a gunman stepped out of the passenger side of a van and began shooting.
The van drove off, and the teen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
No one was in custody for either shooting.
