CHICAGO — A 17-year-old boy has died after he was shot Thursday afternoon in Roseland.
The teen was walking in the first block of East 102nd Place when two men approached about 2:50 p.m., said Officer Daniel O'Brien, a police spokesman. One of the men opened fire, striking the teen in his head.
Darnell Williams, 17, of the same block, was pronounced dead at Little Company of Mary Hospital at 3:14 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
