Free Obamacare Workshops in Uptown, Pilsen, South Deering This Weekend

CHICAGO — Get Covered America, an organization promoting enrollment in Obamacare, is offering several free workshops to help people register for health insurance this weekend.

The workshops will offer professional help and guidance for those looking to enroll in health insurance through the healthcare.gov website. Navigators will walk attendees through the enrollment process and help them sign up for health care.

The workshops will be held at:

Uptown Library: 929 W. Buena Ave., Saturday, December 7 (1 p.m. - 5 p.m.)

Jeffery Manor Public Library: 2401 E. 100th St., Saturday, December 7 (1 p.m. - 5 p.m.)

Instituto del Progreso Latino: 2520 S. Western Ave., Saturday, December 7 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

Blue 1647: 1647 S. Blue Island Ave., Sunday, December 8 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

The workshops are part of an enrollment push by Get Covered America with over 1,000 events planned across the country. Consumers will have until December 23 to sign-up for coverage that begins January 1.
