CHICAGO — Barraco's, a south suburban pizza chain known for its distinctive South Side-style pies, is opening its first-ever Chicago location in Mount Greenwood.
Nick Barraco, who runs the chain with his family, announced that the restaurant bought a building at 3047 W. 111th St., according to the family and Ald. Matt O'Shea's office.
The building is the site of the former Corrigan's Pub.
The Barraco family hopes to open the new location by March 1, according to it Facebook page.
The first Barraco's opened in Evergreen Park in 1980. Today, there are locations in Burbank, Crestwood, Evergreen Park, Orland Hills and Orland Park.
