LAKEVIEW — Thanksgiving's next week — and State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Lakeview) is seeking neighbors to pitch in food for holiday meals for the needy.

Her office at 3223 N. Sheffield Ave., Suite A, is accepting food donations between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. that will ultimately be given to Lakeview Pantry, 3831 N. Broadway, next Wednesday.

The pantry needs peanut butter, jelly, whole grain products such as cereal and pasta, canned tuna, canned meat, canned beans or vegetables, canned fruit in juice, low sodium soup, vegetable juice or V8 and other non-perishable, non-expired food items.

Her office is also accepting toothbrushes, individual hand sanitizers, small tissue packets, travel-sized toiletries, large and extra large winter coats, large winter gloves, scarves and hats as part of a holiday drive for local homeless shelters.

Residents with questions can call the office at 773-296-4141 or email sara@staterepsara.com.
