STREETERVILLE — A 32-year-old man is dead after he fell from a building in the Streeterville neighborhood, authorities said.

Jason Rossow, 32, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 3:52 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Officials there said Rassow died outside the Hyatt Chicago in the 600 block of North St. Clair Street.

Police were called to the scene about 3:35 p.m. after Rossow fell "from an unknown height," said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.

Authorities did not have details surrounding the fall, but Sedevic said police have launched a death investigation.
