O'HARE — A 69-year-old man who went missing after he flew from London to O'Hare has been found in good condition, police said Friday.

Thomas Richardson was found staying in a motel near O'Hare Airport, said Officer Daniel O'Brien, a police spokesman. He refused medical attention, and returned to the airport Thursday night to wait for a family member to pick him up.

Richardson, who had suffered episodes of fainting and memory lapses in the past, appeared to be in good health, O'Brien said.

Police issued a missing person alert for Richardson Oct. 11 after he flew into O'Hare from London but failed to board a connecting flight to California and did not contact his family.

Lincoln Park High School played Roosevelt High School in football on Friday at Lane Stadium.

The police report made no mention of why Richardson failed to get on the flight to California, O'Brien said.
