CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder and attempted murder for allegedly killing a man and wounding another in a May shooting in Englewood.

Charles Moore, of the 300 block of East 68th Street, was arrested Tuesday, cops said.

About 12:30 a.m. on May 15, 22-year-old Jarrell Dotson and a 25-year-old man were in a car driving in the 6300 block of South May Street when a man came out from a gangway and shot them several times, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Dotson, of the 6700 block of South Aberdeen Street, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 1:29 a.m. after being shot in the head, chest and arm, authorities said. The 25-year-old man was treated at Stroger Hospital for a gunshot wound to the left shoulder.

Moore was arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder after being identified as the gunman, police said.

Moore was expected to appear in bond court on Thursday.
