CHICAGO — Two men were wounded in shootings Tuesday night.
About 11:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man was struck in his right arm in a West Garfield Park drive-by, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
The man had been standing on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of West Jackson Boulevard when a car pulled over and someone fired several shots. The victim, who cops called a known gang member, was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital.
A half-hour earlier, a 21-year-old man walked into Metro South Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his right buttocks, Estrada said.
The man claimed he was standing in the 11700 block of South Eggleston Avenue in West Pullman when a gunman approached about 11:20 p.m. The victim tried to run away, but was shot in his backside.
A family member drove him to Metro South, but the man was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized early Wednesday.
