LAKEVIEW — Lovers of vintage arcade games could soon get their hands on a Ms. Pac-Man or Frogger for their homes.

Headquarters Beercade, 2833 N. Sheffield Ave., is celebrating its first birthday by giving away one of more than 40 arcade games and pinball machines, with values ranging from $800 to $5,000, according to bar spokeswoman Whitney Read.

The bar will deliver the game to the winner's home. People interested in the contest can enter online — but must be present at the anniversary part on Friday to claim it.

Headquarters opened in a small space at 950 W. Wolfram St. last year. The bar became popular, and in May, bar owners Capacity Bar Group expanded Headquarters to take over the former Uncle Fatty's.

Cult favorite games from the 1980s are the focus of the bar. The most popular games are Pac-Man, X-Men, Mortal Kombat, Frogger, Indiana Jones pinball, Avengers pinball and Metallica pinball, Read said.
