UPTOWN — Crews were at the famous Green Mill Cocktail Lounge in Uptown on Wednesday morning filming a scene for ABC's new nighttime drama, "Betrayal."

Workers on the set, where Paramount Pictures recently filmed sequences for the new "Transformers" movie, confirmed that crews were at the Green Mill for "Betrayal."

The show, set in Chicago, stars actress Hannah Ware as photographer Sara Hanley, a married but unhappy woman who begins an affair with also-married lawyer Jack McAllister, played by Stuart Townsend. "Betrayal" is based on a Dutch drama series called "Overspel."

Since "Betrayal" debuted on Sept. 29, many critics have lambasted the show and penciled it in as a strong candidate for early season cancellation.

After the pilot aired, TV.Com's Tim Surette labeled "Betrayal," the worst new show of 2013.

And a writer for the Hollywood Reporter, Tim Goodman, called the show possibly "the most bland look at finding one's soulmate in another's husband or wife ever dreamt up."

"It never feels exciting, nor does it exhibit much of a pulse, and viewers won't have much invested in the fantasy despite a whole ton of music that pleads for you to be swept away," wrote Goodman.

But the Miami Herald called it a "dark gem of a show."

The third episode of "Betrayal," will air Sunday.
