CHICAGO — At least four people were wounded in shootings across the city Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

About 2 a.m. Wednesday, a 20-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were struck in a drive-by in Washington Heights, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

The pair was walking on the sidewalk near the intersection of 90th Street and Ashland Avenue when someone in a dark sedan opened fire, Alfaro said.

The man was shot in his lower back, while the woman was struck in her right buttocks. Both were listed in serious condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

In Austin, a 19-year-old man was shot in his back in the 1100 block of North Parkside Avenue about 10:25 p.m., Alfaro said. The teen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

Earlier in the evening in North Lawndale, a 40-year-old man was shot in his right arm in the 1500 block of South Kedzie Avenue about 9 p.m., Alfaro said. The man was treated at Mount Sinai, and cops said the shooting may have been a drive-by.
