CHICAGO — A 37-year-old man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle in South Deering late Saturday night.

The man had been speeding in the 11000 block of South Stony Island Avenue when he struck another motorcycle — which was parked with its driver still sitting on the bike — about 10 p.m., said Officer John Mirabelli, a police spokesman.

He was identified as Courtney Evans, of the 10500 block of South Sangamon Avenue.

Evans was thrown from his motorcycle and "unresponsive on the scene," Mirabelli said, and was pronounced dead at the morgue at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy determined he died of multiple injuries caused by the crash.

The second motorcyclist, a 53-year-old man, was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he's listed in serious condition.

No further details were immediately available.
