Man Shot Dead in Gage Park

CHICAGO — Police are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old Gage Park man who was fatally shot Sunday morning.

Adrian Sianez, of the 5400 block of South Rockwell Street, was shot in his lower back in the 5500 block of South Mozart Street about 3:40 a.m., authorities said. Sianez, who police called a documented gang member, was standing outside when someone hopped out of an SUV and opened fire.

Sianez was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:11 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No further details were immediately available.
