Men Wounded in Shootings in Chatham, Humboldt Park Thursday

 A man in his 20s was shot in the back about 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the 8000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, police said.

CHICAGO — Two men were wounded by gunfire in shootings in Chatham and Humboldt Park Thursday, police said.

A man was hit in his buttocks in an apparent drive-by shooting in Humboldt Park, said Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti, a police spokeswoman.

The 28-year-old victim was shot about 6:22 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Keystone Avenue. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, Ursitti said.

Earlier, a man was shot in his back in Chatham.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in his back about 1:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, said Officer Daniel O'Brien, police spokesman.

The victim was listed in stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, O'Brien said.

No one was in custody for the shootings.
