CHICAGO — Two men were injured in shootings Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, police said.

About 4 a.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man walked into the University of Chicago Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his left arm, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

The man claims he was shot when someone tried to rob him in the 6000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in Woodlawn.

On Tuesday night, a 33-year-old man was shot in his leg during a gang-related drive-by in Hermosa, Alfaro said. The man was standing in the 2200 block of North Keystone Avenue when someone in a white SUV yelled gang slogans and opened fire about 9:15 p.m.

The victim was treated at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

No one was in custody for either shooting.
