CHICAGO — A man was shot in West Englewood Tuesday morning, police said.

The man was walking in an alley in the 6700 block of South Loomis Boulevard about 10:10 a.m. when he was shot, police said.

A gray car pulled up, and a man jumped out of the car and fired a handgun at the victim. He was hit in the right thigh, police said.

The 34-year-old was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in "stable" condition, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Juan Hernandez said.

No one was in custody for the shooting.
