LAKEVIEW — Here's your chance to relive the nostalgia of back-to-school shopping — and help local CPS students.
State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz's (D-12th) office is collecting school supplies for elementary schools in the district, including Agassiz, Greeley, Hawthorne, Inter-American and Nettelhorst.
Feigenholtz hopes to donate at least a box of supplies to every school.
After visiting local school council meetings, the representative found that schools are asking for:
• pens
• pencils
• Sharpies
• spiral and composition notebooks
• glue sticks
• 3-ring binders
• lined paper
• dry erase markers
Residents with donations may drop them off at 3223 N. Sheffield Ave., suite A or call the representative's office at 773-296-4141 to schedule a special pick-up or drop-off. They will be accepting donations until Sept. 10.
