CHICAGO — A man has been charged in a June shooting that left one man dead and seriously wounded three others in Belmont Cragin, police said.
Miguel Vazquez, 20, was charged with first-degree murder, three counts of attempt first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm, cops said Wednesday.
The four people were on a porch in the 2900 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue on June 21 about 7:45 p.m. when Vazquez approached and fired multiple times, police said.
Renee Soto, 21, who lived in the same block, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital that night.
A 17-year-old girl was shot in the side of her head, police said. A 30-year-old man and a 38-year-old man were also wounded.
Vazquez, of the 2500 block of North Neva Avenue, is scheduled to appear in bond court on Wednesday.
