CHICAGO — Lake Shore Drive between Chicago Avenue and Division Street will be closed for five hours Sunday morning, the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communciations said.
The road will be closed from 4-9 a.m. as air-conditioning equipment is delivered to a high rise off the drive. OEMC said there will also be intermittent closures of the lakefront path, and advised residents in the area to be aware of helicopter activity.
Northbound drivers can take Chicago Avenue to Michigan Avenue to get back on Lake Shore Drive. Southbound drivers can take Michigan Avenue to Chicago Avenue. Detour routes will be posted.
OEMC said there will be parking restrictions in the area, as well. Signs are posted with more information.
