CHICAGO — Two men were wounded in shootings on the South and West sides Wednesday night, police said.

About 11:30 p.m., a 20-year-old man was brought into Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound in his chest, said Officer John Mirabelli, a police spokesman.

The man, who cops said has gang affiliations, claims he was shot in the 2300 block of West Huron Street in West Town. Few details were available Thursday morning because the victim — who was listed in serious condition — wasn't cooperating with police, Mirabelli said.

Earlier in the evening, a 40-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 5900 block of South Normal Boulevard in Englewood, said Officer Daniel O'Brien, a police spokesman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition after the shooting, which occurred about 7:17 p.m.

No further details were immediately available.
